John Cleese was my favorite pythoner,he was a accomplished lawer in england before meeting Eric Idol.If you want to watch a funny as all hell show ,if you can get it.Its a show that was created by John and his wife Connie Booth who plays the maid on the worst run hotel in england a resort town called Talwkey a very exclusive place. They only made one season 12 episodesI have them all and they are as funny today as they were in the 70,s when they were made.did you know George harrison was a major producer for Monty python,he backed 2 of their movies.
Yes...I've watched Fawlty Towers...it was hilarious. There were a couple of others ones that had nothing to do with these guys that I watched...but the names are not coming to me.
One was about this posh department store in I think London, and the others were Rowan Atkinson shows, not Mr Bean.

Hugh Lauri got his start playing several dfferent charectors on a show that features a very different and much more abrasive yet funny rowen atkinson called Black Addar I have the dvd set of the 4 seasons. You watch Lauri in that and you realize how very talented he is.
he has range and I mean chops....

Black Addar yup that's the one.... I agree with you on Hugh Lauri's talent, I've seen him in many films etc, but not as a main character. I think he has fun doing what he does.

LOLOL@India Well...I don't think I've introduced Blackadder to Randall yet to be honest, but was thinking seriously of finding some on YouTube tonight!! Our new favorite UK comedy is Mrs Brown...I think it is from Ireland however.

Growing up in Canada it was a staple along with Red Dwarf and Coronation Street.
Moving down to the States I have missed those things...not as popular and certainly not on TV very often.
