What I have come to believe is that: spirituality is an evolution and truth is elusive. the more I seek answers, the more questions that I realize exist. Those that claim to have all the answers are among the first that I pray to be enlightened.
I joined this site to share thoughts and ideas with like minded people. i make it a practice to never refuse a friendship request, but if your "about me" section sounds more like a resume. I'm not interested. And if you use my friendship connection as a marketing tool, I'll simply remove you from my list.
I have a problem with spiritual teachers who tell you that you can have all the material things in life you want if you simply allign yourselves with their way of thinking. They seem to overlook the fact that the the material things are not what is important in life. we all have a life path to follow and things that our spirits need to experience and that may not involve having all the material things our egos think they want.
I like a variety of genres from Saving Private Ryan and the Rocky movies to and including so called "Chick Flicks", a label I don't care for because i don't need someone else to tell me what i should like.

I do volunteer work for our local Office of Aging. I visit nursing care facilities and interview residents to insure that they are receiving the proper care and that their rights are being respected.
I recently started to learn to play the banjo. For most of my life i convinced myself that i couldn't do it or I didn't have time or it was too late to learn. i finally decided to drop the excuses and just go for it.
