Hello,
I just had a quick question. More and more Ive been noticing that my head chakara is feeling like im floating. especially when I am around like minded people. I dont like that feeling and i was wondering if there is a way to get myself ground. What exercises can i do to not get to that point especially with energy.
thanks

Hi Laura.
The muladhara chakra at the base of the spine gives a sense of "groundedness." It is also a center of good timing and memory. You can meditate on Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity, or simply feel the pull of gravity on your spine in order to open the muladhara. Once you have this sense of rootedness, the other chakras will begin to take care of themselves.
If you have this sensation mostly in social settings, it might also be good to seek some solitude and silence, something all of us probably need.

Andrea likes this. You can easily ground by going outside, on the grass barefoot and imagine the energy being rooted thats a sure fire way, atleast for me to ground. Secondly, it sounds to me that your highly empathic and that could be what your feeling if your in a crowd and this happens. Also, it maybe that so much "divine" energy/knowledge is trying to come in all at once through your crown, that it just may need to be opened up a bit more. Either way, feeling the pressure isnt such a bad thing. Try and focus on it, and try to understand why it happens thus. Understanding is the key many spiritual obstacles.

Thank you all for responding! I am literally just starting this journey. Within the past 3 months. I'm not too familiar with meditation ( it is my intention to start very soon)
This feeling only happens when i am around like minded people. People with psychic powers etc. The rest of the time i feel normal ( whatever normal is) I have also noticed that when i am in nature that weightlessness and not being all there is happening. Just strange stuff that i am trying to figure out and develop more of this state of mind. I dont mind it as i can see energy off of people when i get there!
Laura - know the feeling. When I started opening up again this time I was really light-headed and felt kinda drugged/inhebriated. I did not/do not particularly like the 'floaty' feeling.
Ultimately is is all about balance ---- it is about blending the solidness of 'mother earth' with 'divine spirit energy' (I have commented on this somewhere before, just can't remember where). Sometimes we are too grounded and need to be a bit floaty --- sometimes we are too floaty and need to get tied back to our material world.
I'm a bit like Casey I never have shoes on unless I am going out and I can ground myself simply by walking on my lawn with bare feet or even focussing on a tree and imagining how deep its roots go into the earth. Remember even a very old tree that has firm roots can 'dance with the wind'. I also imagine that I have roots coming out of my feet and embedding themselves into the earth. My Reiki Master, who also loves working with crystals, visualises herself journeying to the centre of the earth where she finds a cave full of crystals --- she then selects a crystal and comes back to 'earth' to start channelling Reiki.
My most favourite way of grounding (though I only get to do it when I go on holiday abroad given Scotland is often so cold) is to go out into the sea preferably when the sun is rising and root my feet in the sand. I then let my body sway with the movement of the waves ----- absolute bliss.
Blessings and good luck with your grounding
Andrea
NamasJay likes this. Laura, have you tried color visualization?
Whenever I need grounding, I visualize a black ray connected to my Earth Star Chakra (about 6-12 inches below the feet) and a large, black obsidian gemstone deep in the center of the Earth. This keeps me well-anchored!

You can also imagine a light ( any color your drawn too) coming in thru the top of your head and running down the entire body, out thru your feet and into the center of earth. Also you can try carrying obsidion or hemitite stone. But in my experience they grounded me too much to point of deperssion .

In lieu of Black, try using the grounding color of Red. Namaste.

There are so many things you can do about this!
Try visualising to begin with! Do this every morning before you go out, for example underneath the shower. Just imagine you're protected by a white light surrounding your body. You can make this an egg shape, or the shape of your body, or even a triangle. Say to yourself 'I am grounded. I am protected. Thank you.'
You can also call on the archangel Michael - call his name (silently or out loud) three times, ask for his protection and thank him.
Walking bare feet is a very good way too, as you've read above.
As long as your intention is to ground and you give it to your full attention for a few moments, you're basically alright.
Have fun!
