spiritual giftings

hiya I wonder if anyone could help I have a very uniques spiritual gift, which healing is a part off, but because it's so ' not in with the church' parameters i'm finding it difficult to use, because I sense and see into people's bodies, and don't know how to develop this or take this further would anyone have any advice plz?

What a wonderful gift you have Melissa. Do not let anyone dissuade you from pursuing and developing this gift. God said this was one of the gifts of the Spirit so I don't know where your church is coming from but God is on your side and the Spirit gave you that gift.

What I am sensing is that you have the healing gifts of a Shaman. There are many groups that are exploring the use of Shamanistic healing and how to develop that gift. This is my suggestion, that you interview some of these groups and find one you can be comfortable with and see where it goes.

I hope you don't mind but I also had a look at your profile page for inspiration before I posted a message to you.

You have an amazing gift and I would be curious to know if your gift came before, you decided to train to be a learning disability nurse - or after. People who have learning difficulties rarely have a voice for themselves, indeed, family or official carers can take over and it is often hard to know who to listen to (My first placement as a student social worker was with people with learning difficulties!). I I am sure the spirit world have brought you this gift to help you be discerning in how to help your patients.

Now for the difficult bit. Given you are from the UK, I am assuming you work in the NHS. I work in a local authority and I know how difficult it can be to remain truthful to your gifts whilst avoiding being viewed by fellow professionals as being 'out there'. My main spiritual gifts are in clairsentience and healing but I also occasionally have clairaudient and clairvoyant tendancies. I do integrate these gifts into my professional practice, but I have to be careful in how I do this. Like yourself, I am professionally bound to use 'evidence' based practice and at the moment my professional body is not ready for the honesty of "I went to visit x, because my spirit guide told me to do another visit as they were vulnerable and suicidal......". Instead, I have to say..... "x" had not made contact with me in "y" days and this prompted me to...... You will have to learn to do similar things..... For instance, you might say although the carer is saying "a" and the test result showed "b", I have noticed that the patient does ........ (and you put in something that validates what you can see with your gift) therefore, should we check........ This is probably a bit jumbled --- but it you want to send me a personal message I will try to have a normal conversation with you...

Finally mentioned religion and all I can say is that I gave up religious doctrine many years ago. I still like some of the religious rituals at easter and christmas and do go to church. However, I have found religion to be 'man-made' and limiting. God acts in mysterious ways and I believe the people on this sight are part of god's mysterious plan. Being on the path of spirituality is about taking a range of insights and attempting to piece them together for your individual life journey. Love yourself and let your inner spirit do what it is here to do --- you seem to me to be progressing nicely on your path so stay confident.

Hello Melissa,

many natural healers have no idea they are until later on in life. We might be aware of other natural mediumistic tendencies, but it is all very confusing when starting out.
I teach development for natural mediums and healers (I refuse to do it for people who just 'want to be')and I never charge. If you'd like advice on how to develop your gift without fancy frills, years of teaching etc. then please feel free to e-mail me or go to my blog and read posts I've done about healing. It is so simple and yet most classes (who charge) make it complicated. This is because they are not teaching naturally gifted people.

There are also guidelines if things you must not do or say and I can help withj all of it happily if you'd like me to?
