Good day to everyone! Yesterday’s message was really something to consider and relate the parallels to our lives. Today’s message is going to come from the Vision Quest Tarot and it is one to help with keeping in mind the negative thought processes that can poison us if we allow them to.
Son of Air (reversed) – “Inner conflict, mental agitation – Thoughts, when not supported and tempered by the heart, are not endowed with positive, life-giving power. Right now it is best to refrain from carrying your misgivings out into the world or involve more people in your resistance fight. Accept the message of this card and ask yourself what exactly you keep on fighting within yourself. Slowly learn to stay centered, even in the midst of chaotic activity. Learn to rest in the stillness within, the silence that clarifies all things for you.”
The first message that comes through for this card is to revisit something we’ve heard in the past. How we start our day is one of the most important ways we can learn to be centered and find the stillness within. If you wake suddenly or late, or there is something that happens as you rise from sleep that triggers a negative response, this can make or break a day. One negative thought can cause a virtual train ride that has many stops and reactions to those stops. We can put ourselves in a rotten mood that we carry with us into the day. The best way to work away from this is to thwart the reactions before they truly get going. How? If you feel yourself slipping into this downward spiral, simply tell yourself to stop. Sounds easy, and it is with practice, but when you are engulfed into this self-inflicted negative mind loop, it can be quite difficult to quiet the mind. Find time during your day to ease you mind and bring it to stillness. When you’ve practiced this outside of the time when you are in the negative mind loops, you can begin to bring this practice into those difficult times.
The card also warns against taking your problems to too many people. The chance of the dialogue beginning to take on a life of it’s own through gossip grows with each person you tell. It is quite tempting to tell everyone everything that is going on in you life that you are unhappy with. But when you tell every friend, co-worker, or family member the stories change, morphing into something destructive not only for you, but the person or situation that triggered you in the first place. One reason for this is we have enough inner struggle during these times and hearing the opinions of too many can muddy up our thoughts even more. We take the risk of losing more heart in our thoughts and actions as we tell others and ask them what they think we should do. Are there those in your life who compliment what you’re going through? Can they listen without prejudice and from the heart? Can they give you the guidance you need or are they going to be fodder for the negative cinders that only need more of a spark?
What if we never took our feelings to other people that someone caused us? What if we only talked about the final outcome as a teaching tool to others? What if we addressed the problem only to the person involved until it was solved? In the “have to know” society we live in, this can be very difficult to get away from. We want to share with everyone how we feel. The largest problem with this is that enough people do not express how they feel to the correct source. It is one of the most over used forms of passive aggression out there. We may seek the advice and counsel of others if we are unsure of how to listen to our heart, but the temptation remains to create gossip and malice through our words in the face of hurt and anguish. By finding stillness and tempering our thoughts from our heart we can make the discovery of who we should or should not talk to about or problems. We may even discover that we only need to approach the problem at its source without the assistance from others.
Ace of Water (reversed) – “Your feelings can flow much more freely now and consequently change your life-style. By openly showing what you feel, you ‘speak’ the magic words that open countless doors. To admit your true feelings is to permit the exchange of the love that everyone longs for. Your task is to keep the channels open so this nourishing energy can flow. Just as the chalice filled with life-juice will never be drained, a steady stream of loving power flows through you – a never-ending stream of vital energy.”
This seems to have thrown a monkey wrench into the flow of the reading, but take another look. The message this adds to the reading is what could happen if you allow yourself to find the stillness, the calm within, and centering yourself. Opening our mind to what our hearts have to say instead of allowing the mentals to guide us can truly open the floodgates that we’ve locked for so long. These floodgates have been preventing us from truly feeling the unconditional love that we can share with others. When we have felt hurt by someone else, it may be difficult to express this to them, but when you have allowed yourself the opportunity for the floodgates to burst, you can express anything to anyone.
You notice that there’s compassion in your tone even if you have to be firm with someone. The temptation to gossip is reduced. You even start to notice that you no longer need to hear the gossip of others to fulfill your day. The focus is on you and those whom are in your life that you can share this unconditional love with. Conversations take on new meanings. You find yourself being able to express the feelings that have been hindering you for so long and doing so changes your life. Giving in to others who would like to see you fail because they are unhappy with their own lives is also washed away. You find a new strength, a new vitality in your life that you’ve been craving for so long. Starting each day with a positive outlook, a heart-filled temperance that is nearly shatterproof brings a never ending fullness of hope, joy, and love. It may sound a bit crazy to think of this, but even if you have a horrible job that you dread getting up to in the mornings, you can have a new outlook that brightens even the worst of tasks.
Allow the heart energies to guide the mind. Give yourself the gift of expression in the most positive form. This comes through truth, honesty, integrity, and love. We know when we have been done wrong. We have the opportunity to allow that to close off the floodgates or address it from the flowing waters of our hearts. Remember that we are all human and there will be times that we fall from this, and you can be patient with yourself when this happens. We are perfect in our imperfections and don’t always say or do the “right” thing. It’s our accountability in these times that is so very important. We are held accountable for every action or inaction that we choose.
This message today will seem convoluted to many who read it. That is okay. Not everyone is going to get it the first time it’s read. There will be more messages in the future to help its clarity be found. The important thing to remember is these are meant for anyone who reads them. The whole message may resonate and make sense, or it could be a sentence, or even a simple phrase, but that’s why it’s so beautiful. May it spark the change in you that you’ve been hoping for. If it doesn’t, that’s okay too. There is so much gratitude for being able to present these to you. All of our lives are so different. Our experiences vary yet we all manage to find interconnectedness with one another. It is those experiences that help to bring the words to fruition that Spirit guides. While we have the freedom to choose what we do with our lives, each and every person, event, and situation are supposed to happen. Each choice we make has a determined outcome which will present itself upon completion. Make your choices from your heart and you’ll see the effects of your choices and the synchronicities that got you there. It is really amazing to view life in this aspect.
Peace and love be in your hearts!
Je Vous Aime Tous!

We are harder and more judgemental on ourselves than others. We need to stop worrying so much.
In other words, love ourselves more.
