Welcome to the last celebrated weekend of summer! Make sure you leave time to enjoy at least a little of it. After this weekend, all the kids should be back in school and not crying that they’re bored anymore. Hope that everyone enjoyed the Blue Moon last night. The energies were really something else! Let’s get to our reading for the day. It comes from the Animal Messages.
Bee – “Hard work is rewarded with responsibility and a sweetness that is shared. Without busy Bee pollinating the flowers whose rich produce of fruit, vegetable, and seed provides for man, beast, and bird, the world’s ecosystems would decay and the web of life unravel. If Bee has come to you now, she is asking you to look within: do you wisely protect or thoughtlessly pollute her environment? One of the most powerful creatures on earth, Bee works hard, but just as her honey makes warm intoxicating mead, she reminds us, too, that a life without frolic and fun lacks sweetness.”
Isn’t it amazing that one of the most important creatures on the planet is also one of the most feared? How many times do you see Bee and begin to scream, run, and flail your arms? The next time you see Bee, remain calm. She doesn’t want to sting you. By doing so, this would end her life shortly after. She only does it out of protection. The exception to this is when she is around someone who is truly fearful of her presence. The scent we put off when we are afraid can be smelled by bees. And they are attracted to that scent. So they fly closer almost seduced by your pheromones to enjoy the scent. When we start flailing, they become scared and attack. Now, this may not be completely accurate according to some studies, but this is what has been experienced and guided to share.
Be thankful for this glorious creature. Calmly approach it or walk away. This tiny being has been created to help maintain the very air you breathe, the fruit you eat and the veggies you may be grilling in celebration of the last weekend of summer. If they fly around your picnics and happen to land on the watermelon, let them enjoy the sweetness they helped to provide. What a shocking statement to see, huh? To actually allow a bug into your picnic is unheard of. Quick! Someone grab the bug killing spray, a bee is crashing our party! Ask yourself this before you get the spray or start swatting with whatever you can find; if I helped to create something and provide for someone else, wouldn’t I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor?
Today’s message is full of fun and frolic, much like Bee is trying to remind us of. There is a completely different tone than what you’re probably used to after all the readings you’ve received so far. Poke fun at yourself. Dance. Sing. Enjoy the work you’ve put into your accomplishments. Rest and relax and recharge from the hustle and bustle of work, school, and other obligations. Bee wants you to remember not to get so caught up in what you’re doing that you forget to have fun. Enjoy your life. It’s so brief that in a blink of an eye you’ve transitioned back into the ethereal energies from which we all came. We have to enjoy the physical life, live it to the fullest that we are comfortable with. Try new things to get out of your comfort zones.
Here’s an interesting addition to her message. She mentioned pollution. Are you taking care of your environment or polluting it? This does not just apply to the earth you walk on, the air you breathe, or tossing an empty can out the window of a moving vehicle. She asked for you to take a look within. Are you taking care of your INNER environment as well as your outer? For those of us who smoke, we should really stop polluting our lungs and bodies with these killer toxins. But it’s so difficult when we are enjoying ourselves through the puffs we take. Oh no! Here’s another catch 22, a paradox for us to deal with. Why should we quit something that we are enjoying doing knowing that it is doing us harm? We were just told by Bee to enjoy our life. If smoking brings you joy and harmony, then don’t quit. It is your choice. (Just be respectful of people around you who don’t want to join in your inner polluting.)
Enough about that. Getting back to the point of taking care of our inner environments, and we are going to hit redundancy here, eat right, get enough sleep, make sure you are keeping your body moving at least at some point during the day, and try as best as you can not to pollute your heart. Polluting the heart is one of the largest things we have to deal with. We pollute it with fear, with stress, anger, resentment, and strife. We pollute it by holding onto the stressful, hurtful times. We can clean it up if we choose to. But it is our choice to call in the clean up crew. No one can force us to clean it up. Unlike our mothers who would ground us if we didn’t clean our room. That was just an incentive tool that’s been passed down for generations and usually doesn’t work either. Taking care of our heart’s cleanliness is something that is necessary for healthy living, but it isn’t a requirement. It is our choice.
If Bee did not play after a long day’s work, she might get bored and complacent about the job she has to do. Make time to do this for yourself. At least a little while each day that you are enjoying yourself. Make a phone call to an old friend and reminisce about the good times. Go out to dinner or have an impromptu dinner party. Go rent your favorite movie, pop the popcorn, and dim the lights. Make craft projects with your kids or play a ball game with them. Sit on the deck and watch the day go by, the sunset, and the moon rise. Do something fun, relaxing, rejuvenating. Pollinate your life with joy. Don’t pollute it with fear and hurt.
Respect the bees that come into your life. They are here to do work for you that you can’t do on your own. They have such a special place in the circle of life. Their role is so vital to you. They are the seen and unseen bringers of life and vitality to the planet. They are not here to harm intentionally. They could be compared to all the workers around the planet who make the little parts that make the larger machines work. Their importance is just as equal as the people who sell the final product. Just like we wouldn’t have honey without the bees. Pollen wouldn’t meet its final and needed destination without the work of the bee. Isn’t it a marvel that something so small could be so important? In the grand scheme of the universe we are all as small as the bee, but we are all important.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Je Vous Aime Tous!
