Good Morning! Yesterday’s reading was a bit of a wake up call for many of us. Today’s card again comes from the Animal Messages and is going to expand a bit on it. As it can sometimes go, it may seem that there is a break in the flow of the message from yesterday to today, but it does apply.

Peacock – “Protect your heart from those who may cheat before they hurt you. Peacock’s call warns of the dangerous approach of Tiger and Cobra. As forest denizens approach and fell, so you should now fly from the concrete jungle’s double dealer and heartbreaker. Cosmic vehicle of Kama, Hindu god of love, Peacock knows that although the first declarations of love may be attended by flowers or offerings of ambrosial foods, true intimacy develops later, in seclusion and simplicity. Outward show is a ritual and should not be confused with the realities of long-lasting relationships.”

The last time we heard from Peacock, we were being warned against those who would woo us into a false sense of security as we are searching for love. We were told to be on the look out for those who would shower us with gifts to merely get our attention, but whose hearts would not be pure. This time, it is taking a different course. We are being warned about jobs and careers this time. As the theme for the week has been, we are learning more and more about the world of work. Might sound a bit simplistic and cliché, but every once in awhile we need this type of guidance to do a check-in on where we’re at.

For those who are still trying to find work in their fields of interest, this is the warning that Peacock is giving you. If it looks or sounds too good to be true, it just might be. (This brings to mind any election that may occur.) Sometimes we find something that promises multiple benefits, amenities, and large paychecks. And usually it is something that we can do at home and get started up for a mere fee to the company. Although it was suggested yesterday that this may be the way for some of us to obtain new employment, don’t do it blindly. Again, if it sounds too good to be true, then it may be. If you see something that says you can make a lot of money with very little work, you are being lied to from the get go. There are no promises that can be made when it comes to making money while doing very little.

Granted, there are some opportunities out there that may require very little effort on your part, but these are few and far between. If we could all become rich overnight by doing nothing, we’d all be rich already (financially anyway). Just as in relationships, we may be happier than we’ve ever been providing a service to others, but it still requires work. EVERY relationship, be it business, friendship, or partnership, requires constant work. We can find success and happiness as a result of this work, but it is still work. And anyone who tells you that they don’t have to work to get what they obtain are either filling your head with lies or they inherited their own dynasty. As you look at the websites of information for the get-rich-quick scams, the pictures of the rewards look pretty, but how many actually get to this point? How long does it take to reach where you can pay off your house, buy a whole new wardrobe, or pay off your children’s college tuition BEFORE they start school? How few people does this really happen to?

Follow your heart and guard it from these types of scams. It may seem that you don’t have to follow your heart when it comes to matters of money, but you still have to discern what is best for you. We all have to be acutely aware of our needs, and if it requires that we “buy” into a scam that may or may not be fulfilling, then we are not taking care of our needs. We are actually spending more money than we are making which what these types of businesses are probably hoping for. Let it be known that some people will succeed in this. But if it doesn’t resonate in the heart, move to the next. Spend time looking for the truly rewarding paths and careers. If you spend all your time just attempting to look for the quickest way to make ends meet, you may find yourself in a situation where you’re unhappier than you were before. Your health begins to fade. Your attitude takes a downward spiral. And you can literally lose yourself in the process.

There is also an essence in the message of being aware of what is going on in your current job. Things are changing around you and you may find yourself being affected without knowing exactly why. Expectations are changing. People may feel that even though you are a devoted worker that you aren’t producing as much as they would see fit. There may be a change in leadership in which the new supervisor is not out for the benefit of his or her employees and is riding the wave of being in power. They may want to change everything that was working simply because they didn’t agree with the old procedures. This is a difficult thing to have to suggest, but ride the wave with them. Don’t get your heart bent out of shape. If what they want to change actually works, it may turn out that you find it is easier once you get used to it. If not, you’ve agreed to make the change, you’ve tried it, and you find you have to be honest about its success.

Chameleon asked us to be patient and bide our time. Peacock has offered a warning about running after get-rich-quick job opportunities. They both suggest that we guard ourselves from being cheated on or losing our financial benefits. If you cannot without integrity, humility, or honesty continue doing what you’ve been doing, then it is time to change. If you’re waiting for the sun to rise on a bad situation that is always bad, then it may be time to change. There is more out there than we all realize. We just have to make sure that we are doing the research, both within our hearts and in the documented world to make sure we are providing ourselves and our families with the best opportunity we can. Sometimes we have to take chances on major change. We have to know the risks before going into these situations. If a person is single and wants to make a drastic change, this is completely fine. But if there are others involved, you should follow your heart, but you should also take them into consideration.

This may sound like a contradiction to things said in the past, but it has been hinted at and never addressed. If you have a family, one you’ve worked on maintaining and truly want to continue to be a part of, you will take them into consideration to make sure what resonates in your heart is something that can be accomplished and provide for them. They may have to make changes in their lives as a result of your decision. Don’t cheat them out of a fulfilled life for a “shiny” on the web that promises quick turn around. Especially if it is going to require so much time that you have to burn the bridge to your current situation to get to. Follow your heart! Allow yourself to take a chance! Know what you might be getting yourself into. Don’t jump off a cliff without knowing how deep the water is. Pay attention to the warning signs that will provide themselves to you suggesting what you should be doing. And like the Chameleon, you can strike while like the Peacock, guard your heart.

This is also with all aspects of our lives lately. The veil of perception came down a few weeks ago so now you have the ability to truly see things for what they are. But only if you are looking and using your intuition to guide you. If you are using your logical mind, watch out. You will be mis...
