Midas Begone!

The 'game' was about CONTROLLING resources & wealth - I feel deeply sad that we have let the most horrible, uncaring, greedy, selfish men into so much power - they want to destroy El Salvador's Rain Forest & evict all the people, kill all the animals, poison the rivers just so they can get some STUPID gold that 99% of life on this planet SURVIVES VERY EASILY WITHOUT.

And WE the people ARE to blame: When WILL we STOP believing in the 'power of gold'? Has gold HELPED anyone? Can a lump of gold feed a child? Can a RAIN-FOREST FEED A CHILD?

Why is gold so valuable? I see very little evidence of its productivity.

What does it DO? Does gold sustain the life on this planet?

Can we DARE to choose to abandon our irrational 'love' of gold? - Would THAT be a REVOLUTION?

Please wake-up - join thoughts with NATURE - listen to the trees -

let TRUE LOVE IN!

'The Canadian mining company Pacific Rim is currently suing the government of El Salvador under the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) to recoup $77 million in lost profit after the county denied it a mining exploitation permit. Over the past few years anti-mining activists, journalists and religious leaders in El Salvador have been threatened for speaking out about the environmental impacts of mining. In 2009, three activists were murdered.'

agree Sonya - very upsetting - the world is governed by complete madness i.e. gold-fever - it is heartbreaking to witness the destruction of life & all for sake of a virtually useless metal - i suppose it is a solid belief in a solid 'god' as opposed to a spiritual 'god' - i think we need to make a ...

it is ironic that this blog is infested with gold-buying ad's - i took care not to place any tags - i am wondering why this blog is targetted for gold ad's...? My advice is - don't buy gold - it's like investing in death; sell it back to the rich in return for silver.
