Minnesota based Target stores are taking heat in their home state for selling T-shirts to raise money for a group working to defeat the gay marriage ban proposal, up for vote this November, as an amendment to the state constitution. The gay pride T-shirts Target is selling will raise up to $120,000 for the Family Equality Council that is working to defeat a proposed constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in Minnesota. Chuck Darrell, spokesman for Minnesota for Marriage, a group campaigning to pass the constitutional marriage amendment (keeping Minnesota a traditional marriage state), said: “Target is attacking traditional marriage, which is an incredibly misguided thing for them to have done. It’s an insult to the overwhelming majority of their customers.”
I am not sure how supporting a group of people for living as they were created (GLBT) is attacking traditional marriage, but clearly some feel strongly that this is the case. On Thursday, May 31, 2012, the Conservative branch of American Judaism formally approved same-sex marriage ceremonies, nearly six years after lifting a ban on ordaining gays and lesbians. The Committee on Jewish Law and Standards issued the ruling with a 13-0 vote (with one abstention) approval in New York City. See more at: http://www.sacbee.com/2012/06/01/4531594/conservat... The 13 panel of scholars that approved the same-sex marriage ceremonies approved two model wedding ceremonies and guidelines for a same-sex divorce, leaving rabbis to adapt the ceremony for each couple.
When we judge others for simply living as they were created, even though they may be different from us, we are creating more separation, more negativity, and more hate in our world. This separation we create may be an interesting concept to look at. Though we may seem or appear separate from our Creator and each other, this is an illusion we created to learn life lessons more completely. In actuality, it is impossible to be separated from God, as we were each created by God and from God’s energy. Moreover, because we are also each comprised of God’s energy, we are all interconnected to each other and separation is only an illusion we may have chosen to feel or learn certain lessons.
Our connection to God is a birthright, soul-right, and our greatest blessing. Our connection to each other, to plants, animals, and our planet is also a part of our birthright. We are connected, how we choose to view that connection may determine our growth and future lessons. If we see fear and separation, disdain or hate from anyone not like us, we will most likely personally delve more into separation, more into negativity, and more into discord.
It is by looking at others with the eyes of love and acceptance that we grow; delve into positive life lessons, and positive higher energy growth. Additionally by maintaining a view of love and acceptance, we will help society by raising the energy of those around us.
Thank-you for reading.

I have read in Both "Your Soul's Plan" by SN member Robert Schwartz (excellent book) and by Dr. Moody in "Life between Life" that the soul chooses the life (and body) and chooses as a lesson a gay or lesbian body for a variety of reasons...it is not pushed onto someone before birth...
