Inspiration From Below
(by TS for my beloved daughter Tarini)

Sitting by my parents' pond
I raise my eyes to heaven
A child as sweet as angels' bells
Draws my attention down

Seeing the ground beneath my feet
I think of Anubis, think of Kali,
The Native American Underworld
And ask myself, how often did I miss out
Seeking for wisdom in the wrong places

Seeking on Father Sky's body
When the secret I sought were heald in the womb of Mother Earth
How often have I looked to Nut for inspiration
When Geb holds the seed to plant wisdom in my heart

The angel child laughs
Beaming in a myriad of colours in the sunlight
The green around so luscious
Yellow blossoms radiating like the sun
The king of frogs spits water in my angel's hands

My sweet angel child
So careless and happy a creature
So in the moment of NOW
Awed by a butterfly
Into recognizing divinity

Wish, I felt this childlike joy
Wish, I could let go so easily of things past
To embrace the moment

A stone Buddha sits serenely
Looking out over murky waters

But I want to dance withe the tickling rays of the sun!

Also: Thank you, everyone else, for all your touching and inspiring c...

Hahaha, are you sure, Jan? Loool! With me it is only just starting. Tajun is 13 and minimally rebellious, Tarjani is starting to think independently now at 10. Tarini is still small with her 5 years of age, so when things really get going, I'll come crying on your shoulder, if I may?
I have to say, ...
