""A true Spiritual Warrior seeks and embraces the truth, NOT the facade that is created FOR them." -Robin Dexter"

I spent a number of years working with the business and investment crowds of Wall Street. I then became the founder of a recognized advisory firm, where I was managing pension/ retirement funds for individuals and small businesses as well as trading options for my own account. I was working to make life good when some health issues forced me to give up the lifestyle goals that I had been working toward.

The next few years found me fighting for my life, trying to regain my health. Failing to find quick and easy answers from the medical community, I became active in searching for alternative remedies through Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Qi Gong, and 神操纵 Ch'i/ Shen cao zong. I also studied Intuitive Remote Viewing™, Metaphysics and traditional belief systems seeking relief with what appeared to be a pretty hopeless situation.

A large number of surgeries, a near death experience and almost a decade spent predominately in meditation, set me on my current path as an ordained interfaith minister walking a Wu-Shaman’s path.

A person can't go through the things I have gone through without it drastically altering the way they look at everything in life. My priorities had definitely changed. I had been drawn back to basics, to the real truly important things in life.

The love of the outdoors has always played a roll in my life. Long before I worked as a Boy Scout to receive the rank of Eagle, I was enjoying the outdoors where I grew up in Utah. I learned many things growing up with regard to wilderness survival, from scout leaders, family members, friends, hunting expeditions, self study, trial & error and just good old fashion experience. I have spent many days and nights enjoying the wilds of Utah.

Our ancestors, the ancient ones, tapped into the pool of universal knowledge and used it to survive what must have been pretty horrendous conditions. They are gone now but they left behind the wisdom and knowledge of the ages for us to use. To embrace these gifts is to empower ourselves with the best chance of survival that we can possibly obtain for our future and our children’s futures. Learning these treasured ways will provide us with the tools that all truly successful people use to make it to the top.

I believe in securing our future through the use of the wisdom and the principles that the ancient ones left behind for us to use. Learning primitive self reliant skills as a base, then progressing to modern wilderness and urban survival techniques, provide a secure platform from which to operate. Even those who have been working on securing their future for years, should stop and take a look at what the ancient ones have to share. Their wisdom and skills will act to shore up and strengthen any individual’s or family’s future.

When you tap into this knowledge you are assured a level of confidence shared only with those who are prepared to survive.

Embracing this wisdom can provide the security that can be counted on as a base from which to catapult ourselves to higher levels of success in other life endeavors.

I am following a dedicated path of conscious choice making. I’m taking responsibility for my space in the universe, to keep it and myself as healthy, as comfortable and as un-impacted by me as possible, except for positive good.

Sharing what I have learned from the ancient ones along with the experiences as an investment advisor and business analyst, will be my pleasure. I will help others create comfortable, financially independent, self-reliant, spiritually aware lives to the best of my abilities, by sharing what I have learned on my own journey through life.

The best advice I've ever received: Live each day as if it were the miracle that it is and that there might never be another.

"In all Shamanic cultures, a shaman is defined as a healer and spiritual counselor for his/her community and for the world at large."

""Shamanism and sacred living is not about blissing out on nature, romping with your power animals and hugging trees - it’s about empowering yourself and opening your eyes to the world and the illusions the consumer society has spun you. It’s about de-culturing yourself - shamans and medicine people are not social animals. For by de-culturing yourself you get to know what is truly real in life; the Buddha didn’t become the Buddha by deeply believing he really had to have a nice holiday or a new car." -Nicholas Breeze Wood, Editor of Sacred Hoop Magazine"

Actually things have gotten back to almost normal. Thank you for thinking about both of us. The doctor released her to go back to doing her normal daily activities . She said she hasn't felt this good for quite a while. I guess it was a good thing.

Hope you are doing good on your end Phil and life is treating you well.

Your friend always,

Robin

Good evening! Just checking in from the very wet state of SC tonight. Our next repat flight is coming in at midnight so heading to take a nap before then. Its been a long 36 hours so far BUT its been so fulfilling!! Saw many more children on the last flight in this morning than previously. They are all in such a state of shock right now. I can not imagine what they have been through to be brought to a country they have no knowledge of from the situation they were in while in Haiti. I will keep my blog updated but wanted to thank you personally for the comment on my profile page.

Hi Robin,

I just saw your friend request from some months ago -- thanks!  I am happy to connect with you digitally.

How are you enjoying life in Utah?  I sense that Salt Lake City possesses an energy of tranquility, and I would guess that the rest of the state may be similar.

I noticed you have experience as an investment advisor.  I previously worked as an investment banker and am now seeking to learn about sustainable lending practices -- namely, lending criteria that focus on community and environmental factors, in addition to traditional financial risk factors.  Do you have any ideas for how I might learn about sustainable lending?

What type of meditation are you into?  I learned a couple forms of Vipassana when I lived in India.

Warm regards,
Matthew
