I have this recurring dream. We are all shattered holograms wandering frivolously inside a gargantuan illusion … unintelligible to the vastness. Visions shade to fruitless tapestries, voices cease beyond gratitude, synchronized thoughts embezzle revelations, and in the darkness, innocence silently weeps whilst hope crawls beyond the ambiguity of humanism. Epiphany heralds nudities of compassion; visions illuminate thus coring a fertilization of infinite possibilities. Sanctified voices amend perception, energy revolutionizes and nativity of wings broadens the wisdom birthed to the vastness intelligible to the calamitous. Belief soars the heavenly earth and upon its crooked paths and narrow roads wings of godliness swoop up all the purity, cradling it softly in the comfort of its arms. Veracity of love smother the wounds of our children, our societies … ourselves, and the decrees henceforth are cattled not by Judas dollars but simplified through consciousness of virtue and dignity. Sight, voice and compassion pledge allegiance to the wounded, moreover without shed of either blood nor tear, esteem recognizes the crucial rights of beings to love and respect. Forevermore ages to ages empower a peace beyond the spectrum of archaic lens and birth an abundance of awakenings across a planet sanctioned into the communion of enlightenment for a species carefully woven as ONE. All journey on grounds soiled not by globule of tears, but grateful passages of familiar country to future KNOWN! Nothing is ever the same … EVER! I imagine dreams begin with a solitary thought and manifest through the faith one exercises when paths crumble beyond recognition. The Road to Freedom Finding Tibet A Sacred Journey through Southern India Adored with photos of Dalai Lama, colored with Peace Flags and vibrating with Buddhist prayers, mantras and assorted wooden instruments, Tibet is ranked the lowest among China’s 31 provinces. The Norgyeling Tibetan Settlement of Bhandara, located near the Nagpur city in Maharashtra India, is the poorest and hottest region of India with 60 to 70 percent of the families suffering from extreme poverty. Due to lack of accommodations, six people live in one small room with only one hour of electricity daily in temperature 110 to 120 degrees. When the Dalai Lama was forced to flee Tibet in 1959, around 80,000 Tibetans followed their beloved spiritual leader into exile enduring great hardships crossing the Himalayas on foot. Of those who survived, many found their way to refugee settlements in India. In 1972, some of the early Tibetan refugees settled in Bhandara and put down new roots in agricultural, farming rice several times a year. His Holiness Dalia Lama declared Bhandara a settlement in 1982, and today 1.200 refugees occupy two camps surviving on farming and a sweater business. Evidence suggests that 67 out of 70 refugees in Bhandara are in difficult financial straits and struggling to survive, with monthly expenses of 50 to 60,000 rupees with few donations. Since most homes are made of mud, they have water leakage from the roofs, holes in the walls where rats the size of puppies live, and white insects that eat all of the mud and around the windows and doors. Due to the financial restrains, they are not in a position to refurbish their homes so that they and their families can live in sufferable conditions. Although the government has plans for raising the standards of living in southern India to that of national level by the year 2020, when Tempa Dorjee, the owner of Tibet Handicrafts in Laguna Beach California, took a group of Americans to his native Bhandara, and they witnessed the destitution, they concluded it simply was dehumanizing to prolong the suffering. Upon their return to the States, they organized a strategy to sustain the community of Bhandara: for a diminutive amount of $500 a family, Bhandara can be gifted with Solar Energy and a brighter future than their current lens. The development of Solar Energy is inexhaustible with huge longer-term benefits. Daylighting systems collect and distribute sunlight to provide interior illumination. With Solar Energy’s passive technology directly offsetting energy use by replacing artificial lighting, and indirectly offsetting non-solar energy use, six people in Bhandara living in one small room in temperatures 110 to 120 degrees can live under accommodations suitable for human conditions. Annually Tempa Dorjee promotes a trip to his native country in hopes of educating many on the conditions his childhood community suffers. 20 to 30% of the proceeds from the trip go to supplying Solar Energy to Bhandara. A guided 15-day sacred journey through Southern India is scheduled for February 2013. Announcing the release of ‘PRIMORDIAL SONICS’ by “VITO” DAVID VITO GREGOLI. Lose yourself in the chill grooves of eclectic instrumentation designed to carry you back to humanity's primal roots. Innovative and surprisingly infectious, Primordial Sonics is Ambient Aboriginal Groove Fusion - Indian, Australian and Middle Eastern sounds infused with modern rhythms. In this tour de force of global and stylistic diversity, multi-instrumentalist and composer David Vito Gregoli cleverly layers Western beats over ethnic instruments like didjeridu, sitar, table and Persian santoor in tracks that both soothe and move. With expertise spanning many years and genres from rock to classical, “Vito” is known for expressing the fine nuances of musicality. His hallmark is imbuing each of his compositions with textural surprises, a technique on full display in Primordial Sonics. One example is "Rag Klem," a riff on the American folk classic "My Darling Clementine." Originally composed for an Odyssey Theatre production in L.A., Vito added a hip--‐hop drum, loop and bass track, and then blended in an Indian tambora with Australian Aborignal didjeridu. Vito is clearly obsessed with musical experimentation. An early soundscape version of "Ravi Rangoon" came from a documentary about Burma. "For this CD, I changed it up by adding a cool drum/bass groove, with sitar as the lead," relates Vito. "For contrast, I sampled in a haunting Indian bansuri flute, topped off with an Egyptian Ney flute for a husky, trance--‐like signature." And, of course – some didjeridu! If there's one constant in Primordial Sonics, it is the didjeridu which weaves a unifying, dreamtime motif Throughout the project. "I was inspired by the instrument's 'primordial energy'," recalls Vito. "For Primordial Sonics, I compiled various scoring pieces I'd done for theater, TV and film that share a musical mood: ambient Global that is upbeat yet calming. That's the foundation. Next I turned to didjeridu virtuoso Stephen Kent (Steve Roach), a frequent collaborator and good friend, and the fun began!" Also contributing their special talents are Yoga chanteuse Donna DeLory (Madonna); flautists Suzanne Teng (Babatundi Olatunji, Mystic Journey) and Manose (Deva Premal); and posthumously, percussionist Geoffrey Gordon (Robbie Robertson, Jai Uttal) and bassist Bob Birch (Elton John) – to whom this CD is dedicated.
